What an Assembly May Not Do: October’s Educational Resources Committee webinar is presented by Dr. Daniel Seabold, PRP. What sort of action is an assembly prohibited from taking, even by unanimous consent? Why do such limitations on an assembly exist? There will be a brief review of the fundamental principles of parliamentary law, rules protecting absentees, and other unsuspendable rules, and then investigate through examples the subtle ways that proposed action may violate such rules.
