Getting Home Before Midnight  was the topic for the annual LSPU Workshop on Saturday morning April 25, 2015 held at the Oakland County Conference Center in Waterford.

Speaker Julie Pioch interacted with participants as she talked about the reason for meetings and how that will affect the planning process.  She presented an outline for a basic agenda that does not need to be adopted and showed how some motions can help move a meeting along so that work gets accomplished and members can leave before midnight knowing what is next for the organization and how they can be involved.

Attendees bought parliamentary materials including the always-popular (and necessary) Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised (11th edition) along with Robert’s in Brief and more.
